One of the best things I ever did for myself was to go to Glastonbury. I absolutely adored it. A selection of music to rival my iPod on shuffle, incredible people, delicious varied food, massages,
It has it all! Hence why I have had to go every year since (apart from that dark year I never got tickets. We won’t speak of that).
Even if you’re not interested in the music, there is so much happening all over the festival to keep you occupied & I can guarantee you still won’t have enough time to do & see it all!
What started out as a fun thing to do over the summer has turned into a nearly yearly rite of passage. It recharges my soul, brings me closer to my friends, is respite from reality & a breathe of fresh air through my being. It is much more than just another festival. It has broadened my horizons & opened my eyes to something not readily available to me on the East coast of Ireland.
The creativity, time, thought & effort that goes in to the last minute detail of the event is phenomenal. The little things that happen as you walk around warm the part of your heart that doesn’t get lit up everyday.
I won’t lie, the toilets are beyond grim & I don’t want to think about them any more.
Roll on Glastonbury 2016. I would be honoured to attend if you’ll have me
